The first class, Lake Highland Entrepreneurs, LLC was founded in January 2008 by 17 high school seniors with their chairman, Mark Hayes. Lake Highland Entrepreneurs, LLC took the most risk, as they were the first. They started a company, borrowed thousands of dollars, and created a guide book to teach anyone how to start  and operate a company as well as how to live the lifestyle of an entrepreneur through their own experiences. What they did was nothing short of remarkable, and each and everyone of them deserves an applause, but especially the key people in the company:
